Who is a Responder?
Why We Do What We Do
We believe in giving back to those who have or are currently serving our communities and nation. Being required to respond to particularly stressful and potentially traumatic events can have serious impacts on a person's mental and physical health and wellbeing. Having seen and experienced firsthand both the negative effects of stress and trauma on responders as well as the considerable benefits that Yoga and Mindfulness practices can provide, we believe in sharing these as our way of giving back.
What We Do
We assist Responders to better serve our communities. As well as helping all Responders to recover from and better cope with issues related to stress and trauma, we also assist these groups to become stronger both mentally and physically, improve concentration and focus to achieve an increased level of overall performance.
We classify a Responder as someone who runs toward rather than away from particularly stressful and potentially traumatic events as part of their work environment. This includes but is not limited to; Veterans, Military, Police, Fire-Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, Department of Corrections, Homeland Security, Dispatchers as well as Disaster and Emergency Response Teams.
